By using the Personya app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. You may not use the app if you are under 13. If you are under 18, you need parental or guardian consent.
2. Description of the Service
Personya is an application that offers simulated conversations with historical figures using artificial intelligence. The service includes:
- ◆ AI-powered chat with historical characters
- ◆ Historical debates (Clashes) — join discussions between two characters
- ◆ Interactive history scenarios
- ◆ AI-generated personal avatars
- ◆ Private Time Capsules that store text, images, or short videos for a future opening date
3. Account Use
- ◆ You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information.
- ◆ You must keep your password confidential and prevent unauthorized access.
- ◆ You may not share your account with others.
- ◆ If you notice suspicious activity, contact personya@personya.app immediately.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the service to:
- ◆ Create illegal, harmful, or misleading content
- ◆ Create hate speech, harassment, or content that encourages violence
- ◆ Abuse the service with automated tools (bots)
- ◆ Attempt unauthorized access to systems
- ◆ Share content that infringes others’ rights
- ◆ Scrape content at scale for commercial purposes
- ◆ Upload child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, terrorist propaganda, serious threats of violence, fraud, malware, illegal goods or services, or content that facilitates crime
5. AI Content and Disclaimer
Characters in Personya are AI simulations inspired by real historical figures. Important notices:
- ◆ Generated content is not guaranteed to be historically accurate and should not be used as a primary source for education or research.
- ◆ Characters’ views do not represent Personya’s views.
- ◆ You acknowledge that the AI model may produce incorrect or unexpected outputs.
- ◆ You are responsible for any decisions you make based on this content.
6. Intellectual Property
The Personya app, design, code, and content are protected by copyright. Your license is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
- ◆ Reverse engineer the app
- ◆ Copy or redistribute it
- ◆ Use it in commercial products or offer it for sale
7. User Content
You are responsible for text, photos, videos, and other content you upload. You may upload only content you own or have the necessary authority to use and share. Do not violate another person’s privacy, personality rights, copyright, image rights, or voice rights.
By uploading content, you grant Personya only the limited rights needed to store and process it, keep it secure, present it to you on the selected date, and send the notifications you choose.
Once a Time Capsule is sealed, its content and opening date cannot be changed. You may delete it before opening; deletion removes content from active systems, while removal from backups is completed within the applicable technical retention cycle. “Only Me” content is not shown to other users. Limited authorized access may occur for security, technical necessity, or legal obligations.
8. Changes and Termination
We reserve the right to:
- ◆ Change or remove any feature of the service
- ◆ Suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms
- ◆ Temporarily or permanently discontinue the service
9. Limitation of Liability
Personya does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or special damages.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Courts and enforcement offices in Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes.
